On the 9th of November 2005 the world's greatest
rugby team came to Donegal to honour the memory of
Dave Gallaher,
their legendary captain from 100 years earlier.
Ramelton had never seen anything like it before and
in true Ramelton style the whole town turned out
to welcome them.

The All Blacks including tour captain Tana Umaga visited the guest house (Crammond House, Market Square) in Ramelton where Gallaher was born as 'David Gallagher'
on 30th of October 1873.

Hours before they arrived, hundreds fans had gathered at the (cold) Market Square outside the Crammond House as Umaga unveiled a plague commemorating their founder's birthplace.
