Ardara
is situated near the small River Owentocher. The heritage town is a major
centre for the manufacture of hand-woven tweed. There are several shops
selling tweeds and hand-knitted sweaters. For more information on the history

The
pubs of Ardara are very friendly and the visitor can listen to a wealth
of traditional music.
The Maghera to Glengesh Drive near Ardara (distance 25km) is highly recommendable and you also find
very spectacular sights while driving the magnificent GLENGESH PASS.
