to watch the World Championships from the Crucible in Sheffield.
She knew Dennis Taylor:
Cliff Thorburn and Jimmy White and was on first name terms with the lot of them.

Logan stays in Stockport side
After playing a key role in Sunday's final league fixture, a 1-0 home win over Brentford,
Conrad Logan will be hoping to be first choice again for the two leg semi-final
League 2 play-off games against Wycombe. After missing two months first team football
the Ramelton man finally returned to action in last week's 0-0 result away in Chester.
Stockport had already clinched a place in the play-offs at that stage with the draw
for the semi-finals being confirmed after Sunday's games. Debut boy Gianluca Havern
got the match's only goal in front of just over 6,000 at fans Edgeley Park and it took
a brilliant late double save from Logan to ensure that the Hatters held onto the three points.
It had been a frustrating period for the 22-year-old but he will now be hoping that his performances
in the past two games will be enough to convince manager Jim Gannon to make him first choice
ahead of John Ruddy for Sunday's first leg away to Wycombe (kick-off 6.00).
The other semi-final sees Darlington host Rochdale on Saturday at 5.35 p.m.
Ironically, Leicester City the club who have loaned Logan to Stockport have been relegated
to League 1 and the two sides could now be in the same division if the Hatters secure promotion
through the play-offs. The winners of the two semi-finals will meet at Wembley to decide
the side who will gain a place in League 1. Sunday's game and the return leg will be shown
live
on Sky Sports. Stockport's second leg at will take place on Saturday week May 17th at Edgeley Park.
